BARNSTABLE, Mass. –Two employees at a Dunkin’ Donuts shop on Cape Cod were arrested after allegedly spitting in customers’ coffee.

Rodrigo Rodrigues, 22, and Junior DaSilva, 26, both of Barnstable, each face a felony charge of distributing food intended or expected to cause injury. Both are free on bail after their arraignment this week, the Cape Cod Times reported.

Barnstable police made the arrests Feb. 3 after a six-day investigation prompted by an anonymous tip that employees were spitting and urinating in police officers’ coffee, according to a police report filed in court.

Drinking your own urine? Orland Park police have no problem with that.

But drink it in a front-page newspaper article while wearing your crossing guard uniform complete with official police insignia, and there will be problems.

Ed Danis, the 84-year-old Orland Park “urine therapy” devotee featured in a Jan. 29 Southtown story, has been suspended from his job as a crossing guard, effective Wednesday.

Orland Park Police Chief Tim McCarthy, whose department oversees the part-time guards, said Danis had been warned in writing twice before that he was not allowed to espouse his beliefs while on duty or in his uniform.

A Martha’s Vineyard man is charged with taking morphine from his mother’s intravenous drip minutes after she died.

Robert S. Peatie, 37, was arrested last week after a nurse at Cape Cod Hospital caught him pouring the morphine into a water bottle, the Cape Cod Times reported Friday.

His 62-year-old mother, Linda Peatie, had just died from an undisclosed illness.

The nurse, Maureen Beckler, told the newspaper she left Robert Peatie alone in the room while she sought a doctor to pronounce Linda Peatie dead.

Beckler returned to find the son “standing next to the IV stand holding the morphine bag. He was trying to pour it into a water bottle. He looked at me and said, ‘I just need a minute more.’”

ROUND O, S.C. - A normally pleasant billy goat turned gruff and, for his troubles, was zapped three times with a Taser gun. Dodge the billy goat snapped a leash and charged at Dawn Pinette, knocking her to the ground Wednesday about 35 miles west of Charleston.

“All I could do was grab his horns and scream bloody murder,” Pinette, 38, said.

Her daughter called police and Colleton County Deputy Jeff Scott arrived to try to help Pinette up. But the goat bullied his way in and the deputy used his Taser.

At first, Pinette thought the goat was dead.

“Within a few seconds he was back up and going after him again,” she said.

Clarksville Police are searching for three men they say kidnapped, raped, robbed and held captive a 79-year-old woman for six hours after she attempted to walk into a Madison Street pharmacy.

The woman told police she was approached at about 3:30 p.m. Monday by a knife-wielding man and forced into the back seat of her bronze 1989 Ford Escort, according to an incident report by Detective Sean Averitt.

Boaters made a gruesome discovery Friday when they found human body parts inside a suitcase that they fished out of the bay, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

“It appears to be a dismembered body,” said homicide Lt. John Hennessey.
