For the same reason many many African Americans danced and cheered in the street when O.J. Simpson was set free. If I am racist for pointing that out, well, sorry.
They stick up for Vick, for the same reason every other rapper and Afro-American got upset when we originally thought R. Kelly was instantly going to prison for raping and pissing on a 12 year old girl. They really got upset, blaming umm corporate America. WTF? The only black man who had the balls to call him out was Dave Chappelle.

“I think we don’t say anything about people who shoot deer or shoot other animals,” the Knick point guard told Capital News 9, an Albany TV station. “You know, from what I understand, dogfighting is a sport. It’s just behind closed doors.
“I think it’s tough that we build up Michael Vick and then we break him down.”
Vick agreed last week to plead guilty to federal dogfighting and conspiracy charges.
Some of Vick’s teammates shared Marbury’s support.
“Mike is very human,” Alge Crumpler, who who came into the NFL at the same time as Vick, said. “I think this whole ordeal has kind of dehumanized him for the last couple of months. But he’s hurting. I do know that. That’s a fact. He is hurting.”

boondocks also did something on it, just be more understanding of the situation. in other words, follow Dave Chappelles and chris rock’s veiw on it all. “in this world, theres normal/average people, theres smart people, and theres ignorant mother fuckers” race don’t mean shit.
I agree race should not mean a damn thing. But every time a famous black man gets indited over a crime they always cry racism and for freedom. No matter who it is, what the crime, even if facts are proven. They have borderline rioted before. But if an innocent Duke Lacrosse team gets falsely accused for raping a black female prostitute/stripper, they go off the deep end demanding heads on a chopping block anyway.
This is not made up, this stuff really happens and it shows black people to be very very racist against whites no matter what the case. They also seem to hate, I mean HATE, to side with a white man if he is going against a black man in any argument, or debate, even if they know deep down inside the black man may be wrong. Now I am not racist and I am stating what I see and understand from living in predominantly black environments at times, but for me just stating this, I will be a racist among all blacks and I have realized I just need to accept that term.
That is something that will always keep racism breeding between black and white people (racist blacks) and it is not helping anything. The double standards need to stop because it really does upset all races including many blacks now, or so it seems. This is something I will ALWAYS hate, and every time it comes up, it really does bother me.
People are not stupid and no one is letting anything slide anymore. The way things are going in my eyes, black people are just starting oppression all over again. This time on their own accord instead of racist thee white people.
